Basis course for mechanical construction
Course information
The participants of this course are brought by the philosophy, use and methods for CATIA V5. The focus of the course is on a structured approach to construction, from design sketch through to object group and single parts of a Top-Down methodology. The target is to get a thorough understanding of object structures and to be able to create data models with CATVI creating references and related models and to create „clean“ models.
• System basics and a philosophy of CATIA V5
• Get an understanding of the most important modules of CATIA V5 (object groups, parts and drawing)
• getting a full understanding of the basic elements of „Parametric“, „association“, „construction element“, „related element“...
• Construction methodology of CATIA V5
• The sketcher: using and understanding – differences to conventional geometric creation in CAD
• Elementary tools: sketch techniques, definition of related parts, simple construction elements, help elements
• Basics of feature based modelling
• evaluation of parts for construction – construction philosophie
• generation of building groups ( the connection between parts and building groups)
• Getting acquainted with modify functions and help functions
• Introduction of formulas and parameters
• Basics of drawing ableitung???
Used modules: Part Design (PDG), Assembly Design (ASD), Generative Drafting (GD1), Interactive Drafting (ID1)
Necessary: Simple computer knowledge
